Designing the robot

To make the design of the robot fit with this years Pi Wars theme, we chose to design a model of an anderson shelter that is an attatchment that sits on the top of the robot and covers the battery pack.

Anderson Shelters were used to protect people from air raids in the UK during WWII. They were originally designed in 1938 and were built to hold up to 6 people aswell as food suplies and other essentials.

Designing the Shelter was a long process and it is still not completely finished however we have created the shelter using a rigid plastic material and is covered in lined paper to give it a corregated effect.
